After many months, or perhaps it's years, the scaffolding has been removed and the heritage remains of two buildings have been revealed. With Waterside and 101 Bay St nearing completion, work is beginning on the restoration of the Army and Navy Hotel and what remains of the W J Carr building. W J Carr were printers, and/or stationers - exercise books, that sort of thing, according to informants Max and Jim. Click here to see a picture of W J Carr when it [looks like] it was still in business.
