Looking back with interest

Rode past 157 Albert St.

Council had refused a planning permit application for this site which was subsequently approved by VCAT (see post 29 September 2008).

The dwellings in contention are almost complete.

Do you think council's concerns were justified?

Well this is just a typical decision that the council got wrong yet again. Thank god VCAT did rule in the development’s favour. The new building has a sense of style, design and form. Alot better than what was there previously. The previous dwelling had no design or aesthetic quality about it all. BC

Thanks for your comments - The reason I posted it was because I wasn't sure that council's concerns about bulk were warranted.
